Lead Warehouse Associate

POSITION PROFILEResponsible for leading and directing a team of warehouse associates in completing their tasks and duties Ensures all processes and procedures are follows.
Ensures all work is completed based on requirements Able to assist in training of warehouse associates.
Direct back-up to Warehouse SupervisorJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible to work with and supports warehouse supervisor/manager to plan and ensure work related timelines and activities are met for functional areaHelps develop and supports work related productivity and quality standards and they are achieved for functional areaHelps train assigned warehouse personnelCompletely trained and knowledgeable of all procedures and processes within functional areaEnsures all OSHA and company safety and security standards and guidelines are adhered toLeads and directs team members in daily activitiesIdentifies and recommends corrective action when applicablePossesses fundamental supervisory skills and has limited management responsibility in the absence of warehouse supervisorCommunicates and supports internal and external customers when requiredPossesses fundamental administrative skills and ensures all paperwork is controlled and properly processed.
Can efficiently operate all material handling and dock equipment needed to complete all job responsibilitiesIs proficient in any/all system or equipment needed to complete all job duties Castanets, manifest system, WMSDemonstrates system and process troubleshooting skills to identify, communicate, and correct issuesDemonstrates organizational knowledge of size, scope and departmental interactions of Regional Distribution WarehouseProvides assistance to other functional areas as neededMeets appropriate productivity/quality standards relative to job responsibility as outlined by manager and is aware and focused on continuous quality improvement.
Can be involved in physically performing work as requiredFinancial Responsibility:
can be involved in daily volumes of $5M
in transactional and inventory volumesQuality of work can have direct impact on end user customersPerforms other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
Minimum of 3 years warehouse experience or 2 years within organization is requiredKnowledge and experience in Warehouse Management System is preferredBasic knowledge of computer hardware and ERP Platform environment is preferredKnowledge of Office Products is preferred.
Knowledge of MS Office is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
