Candidates should embody the Turner's mindset and be a committed team employee.
They are responsible for meeting multiple deadlines, as well as understanding product and pricing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner's brand and the company culture.
The Buyer's Assistant position is a retail and corporate professional in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, and data processing.
Skills and Key Competencies include but will not be limited to:
Ability to perform date entry in a fast-paced environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem solving skills Keen knowledge of industry and products are a must Knowledge of specific compliance laws is a plus
Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years' experience of an assistant buyer.
Maintains confidentiality at the highest level and has integrity Must be proficient with Celerant, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel along with the ability to learn new computer programs and skills Flexible and eager to accept additional responsibilities Must pay close attention to detail Ability to adapt to different situations and take initiative on new assignments Capability to work independently as well as within a team environment Able to perform during stressful peak seasons including meeting multiple deadlines Candidate must be skilled in time management while being able to multitask Excellent interpersonal skills, listening and seeking clarification while responding well to questions from individuals at all levels Knowledge of shooting, hunting and fishing a must Organized and tidiness is a plus Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for accuracy and placing purchase orders Assisting Buyer's with any day-to-day task Assisting the warehouse with receiving issues and questions about incoming shipments Provides support to multiple departments regarding product and paperwork for said product Can maintain a professional relationship with reps from manufacturers Sources places and follows up on all orders Responsible for accurately creating sku's and maintaining existing sku's Working daily in excel and using multiple formulas Place orders in timely manner Correct any pricing issues and create ads Maintain accurate records of confidential files that are easily accessible PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance Must be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift HOURS Hours- generally 8am to 430pm, varied-OT may be required Requests for time off may or may not be granted during, especially black-out periods and company peak times Job Type:
